About the CTU

Welcome to the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU)  - a Caribbean intergovernmental organisation dedicated to facilitating the development of the regional telecommunications sector.

The CTU’s Mission is “To create an environment in partnership with members to optimise returns from ICT resources for the benefit of stakeholders.”

The CTU recently re-structured its operations to ensure that it was relevant to the prevailing environment of rapid technological innovation and to make it more responsive to its members’ needs. The membership was also expanded to include non-CARICOM states, private sector organizations and non-governmental agencies, creating a multi-stakeholder membership base dedicated to the principles of collaboration among all stakeholders in the regional sector.

The vision of the CTU Secretariat is “To position the CTU to be the prime catalyst facilitating regional cooperation, economic, social and cultural development of the peoples of the Caribbean through the provision of efficient and advanced information and telecommunication services.”

The CTU is committed ensuring that tangible benefits from the development of the Caribbean information and telecommunication sectors accrue to the citizens of the region.

Join us as we seek to make the vision a reality.
